Fanout and Fanterm are brother apps that let you run commands on multiple remote systems easily. The main difference between the two is that Fanterm allows you to run interactive commands whereas Fanout is simply fires the command into each remote site.

I’ve never used Fanterm because I’ve never been able to think of a good reason to, and although I have used Fanout, it’s only marginally easier than just writing up a quick BASH script to ssh into the remote systems and execute the commands.

However, as with all of these simple little apps, they can provide great power to the proper weilder. Someone, somewhere may find that these apps work better than existing tools.
