Summary: Firefox 3 has been annoying me since it was released with Ubuntu because it has a nasty habit of hanging when I click on a link that opens a pop up window. I thought it was Flash that was causing it, but it wasn’t.

I thought that Flash 10 using nspluginwrapper was the culprit behind my pop-up hanging issues, but it turns out it was the Google Toolbar. I know enough to start disabling add-ons one by one when FF starts having issues, but for some reason that didn’t occur to me until I started reading some other people’s issues with hanging. I disabled them one by one and since disabling the Google Toolbar several days ago have not had a single hanging issue.

Try it. You might like it!
